Well then, here you find my collection of models for future building projects. Some feature the boxart and a few details and others have pictures of the sprues etc... and more detailed information. Just click on the photo's for a better view. Enjoy !!!!!!!
This is the Polar Lights 1/1000 Constitution class model of the USS Enterprise from Star Trek: The Original Series. It is designed as a snap fix model with 3 different versions to build, pilot, second pilot and production versions. I have 2 of these kits and I will be building 1 of them as the USS Defiant from "In the mirror darkly" from season 4 of Enterprise. The other 1 will be used for the conversion into a heavy destroyer using the Starship Modeler resin kit (see below).
Here is the Starship Modeler conversion kit to build the Destroyat class heavy destroyer. I will be building this ship as the USS Breckinridge.
It is a resin conversion kit with several resin pieces which along with a Polar Lights 1/1000 Constitution class model of the USS Enterprise kit makes a nice TOS style ship like the USS Reliant from Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. The box contains the instructions, resin pieces and a set of decals by JBOT decals.
Here are the resin parts. This is my first resin kit and I am aware of a few common problems with resin parts. But I can say for this kit that all the resin parts are free from bubbles or warpage. The only criticism I have is for the one rectangular piece at the bottom which has some ripples in the surface that will need a bit of sanding/filling to rectify. Other than that I am extremely impressed with the quality of the mouldings and details.
This is the Polar Lights (PL) kit of the Reman Scorpion fighter from Star Trek: Nemesis. It is yet another high quality kit from PL but it is let down by the awful rubber figures and the lack of waterslide decals (you only get stickers).
I will light this kit for the cockpit and engines and create my own decals for the wing emblems. I will also utilise some suitably looking cockpit decals for the interior instead of the stickers. This kit seems to be unpopular with a lot of Star Trek modellers because of it's subject matter but I think it will be a nice looking kit with the extra details added and the rubber figures in the bin, LOL.
Here is the AMT/ERTL TIE Interceptor from the Star Wars film Return of the JEDI. It's a basic and easy enough kit and although lacking in detail in comparison the Fine Molds version it's still a worthy addition to any collection.
This is what you get in the box.
This little kit is the Droid Fighters from Star Wars: Episode I by AMT/ERTL. It contains three ships with four pieces per ship. A very basic kit with a fair bit of detail to make it worthwhile making. I have a book called 'A Galaxy Far Away', where Matthew Usher builds this kit with lighting and weathering and looks very effective. I think I will follow his example.
Here is the great Klingon Bird of Prey by AMT/ERTL. Allegedly this kit is 1/350 scale and would sit alongside PL 1/350 Refit Constitution kit. Anyway this is a fantastic ship from Star Trek which will require a lot of detail painting and weathering.
A very famous Starship, the USS Reliant was the first of a different design of a Starfleet Starship to appear on the big screen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It deviated from the more traditional look but retained the technical composition from the refitted constitution class. I will be making a few inaccuracy fixes and lighting this kit, probably with something from DLM's range.
